Difference between DTG-201 and OAK-D:
1.Frame rate : DTG-201 is 200fps at 640x400x2 , and OAK-D is only 118fps at 640x400x2.
2.OAK-D has AI chips and DTG-201 does not.
3.OAK-D has a color CMOS sensor and DTG-201 does not.
It seems OAK-D is better , why DTG-201's price is double?
Answer is the high frame rate, a golf ball might as fast as 180 mph or 80 m/s, and in a limited sight area of OAK-D hanged over about 3 meter over the player. You can see maybe as few as 2~3 pictures in a swing. So the less images OAK-D can get , some time if the ball image's quality is not good, then we can not analyze the ball's 3D position. So DTG-201 with double frame rate, will be more reliable to catch ball's image to calculate result.
But if you seldom hit over 300 yards, then OAK-D is still good enough. But DTG-201 will be priced higher then OAK-D.
So for a general VR camera, OAK-D will be better. But if you would like to be more accurate for your golf swing information DTG-201 will be better.
